Surrey Hills Probus Club is made up of retired and semi-retired men who enjoy participating in regular activities. The Club provides members with fellowship, friendship and fun. Our members come from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne including Surrey Hills, Burwood, North Balwyn, Canterbury, Mont Albert, Box Hill, Doncaster, Camberwell and Balwyn.
Members come from all walks of life. We have a wide range of activities available to suit a variety of interests. There is something to suit everyone.
The Club is apolitical, non-sectarian and not-for-profit. It is not involved in fund-raising.
We offer a variety of activities for our members
Members are able to participate in a variety of stimulating activities and outings as well as attending a monthly meeting with a thought-provoking and informative Guest Speaker.
Wives and partners are encouraged to join members on most of our activities including excursions, cinema and theatre outings, trips and dine-outs.
Where do we meet?
We meet at 10.00 on the first Thursday of each month except January at North Balwyn Uniting Church Hall, 17 – 21 Duggan Street, North Balwyn. (See the map below.) This venue is modern, spacious and equipped with microphone and retractable screen – ideal for meetings of our size.
Attending a meeting as a guest is an excellent way to see if Surrey Hills Probus is for you. Contact our secretary, Geoff Jewell for an invitation.
